- How do I get professional edition?
Please donate to us then following the steps:
In eclipse, open "Windows"-> "Preferences...". Then select "Bravo JSP Editor"
Finish the form and click "Request professional edition license" button.
A new browser window will be opened then launch your email client. (Required information are also copy to system clipboard. If your email software is not launch automatic. Please open it and press "Ctrl+V" to paste the text in mail body. ) Send the mail to me, I will send you the license file after confirm the donation.
- How do I install license file?
Please open "Windows" -> "Preferences...". Then select "Bravo JSP Editor" Drag and drop the attachment file into yellow area. It will help you intall license file.
The alternative way is copy license file "bjeditor.lic" to user profile folder. (open a command line windows and type "echo %USERPROFILE%" to display the path) If you specify the value of JVM system property "user.home", please copy license file to that folder.
- My professional edition license file worked before, why does it not work?
If you re-install windows or do any thing cause windows SSID changed, you will need a new license file. Please request license again (Please input the same name and paypal email address that you requested before).
- Can I use this software without license file?
If you don't have license file or license file is invaild/expired, you still can install and use this editor. However, some function will not work, such as: visual part will not display.
Usage
- How do I set this editor to default editor of .jsp file?
In eclipse, open "Windows"-> "Preferences...".
- Select "General" -> "Editors" -> "File Associations".
- Select File types
- Select "Bravo JSP Editor" and click "Default" button
- Can I use this editor to edit other JSP/HTML based file?
In eclipse, open "Windows"-> "Preferences...".
- Select "General" -> "Content Types".
- Select "Bravo JSP Source"
- Click "Add" button to add new file assoication
You can also use the UI to do it quickly.
- Can I use this editor for JSP debugging? The debugger always open another editor to stop on breakpoint.
The Eclipse debugger will open "default editor" to stop on breakpoint, please change the setting of default editor.

- Eclipse v3.5.x - please download WTP v3.1.x
- Eclipse v3.4.x - please download WTP v3.0.x
- Eclipse v3.3.x - please download WTP v2.x
- Eclipse v3.2.x - please download WTP v1.5.x
- For eclipse 3.2/3.3 : extract downloaded files copy files under eclipse/features to $ECLIPSE_HOME/features, eclipse/plugins to $ECLIPSE_HOME/plugins.
- For eclipse 3.4/3.5 : create a new directory under dropins folder, extract downloaded files into the new directory and keep the file structure.
Note: If you install this plugin with eclipse v3.5.1 and encounter an error when start eclipse. Please download org.eclipse.core.resources.compatibility_3.4.0.v20090505.jar then replace the file $ECLIPSE_HOME/plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources.compatibility_3.4.0.v20090505.jar
